MOBY DICK RESTAURANT & THE OYSTER BAR.

Our Story

Moby Dick Restaurant and its Oyster Bar are located on Santa Barbara’s 150 year old Stearns Wharf, the oldest continuously working wooden wharf in California. Jutting out into the Santa Barbara Channel, one of the world’s premier places for watching an amazing diversity of whales and dolphins, the restaurant is named after the whale that plays the title character of Herbert Melville’s famous 1851 novel.

Our Menu

Our menu draws on the wealth of the local waters, one of the biologically richest parts of the global ocean. We are committed to using locally sourced, sustainably harvested, and responsibly produced food and drink, offered in a chef-driven menu of delicious dishes enhanced with curated craft cocktails.
